This card was included in the {{TCG|Diamond & Pearl}} expansion with artwork by [[Ken Sugimori]], first released in Japan in the {{TCG|Space-Time Creation}} expansion. It was also included in the Torterra Half Deck of the Japanese {{TCG|Entry Pack}}. The card was reprinted in {{TCG|POP Series 6}} with different artwork by [[Kouki Saitou]], originating as a Japanese {{TCG|DP-P Promotional cards|DP-P Promotional card}}. In Japan, this print was available as an insert with the December 2006 issue of ''[[CoroCoro]] Comic'', released on November 15, 2006.

The original print was later reprinted in the Lucario Half Deck of the English {{TCG|Diamond & Pearl Trainer Kit}}. In Japan, a Cosmos Holofoil DP-P Promotional version of this print was available as part of the Trade Please DP event held at participating Pokémon Centers from November 4, 2007 for as long as stocks lasted. Visitors could trade any 1 Pokémon card (including International cards and Japanese cards with a classic reverse) with attendants for 1 of 3 promotional cards at random. {{TCG|Trainer card}}s and {{TCG|Energy card}}s were specifically excluded from the trade. A Cosmos Holofoil variant of the POP Series 6 print was released in March 2008 in the {{TCGMerch|Diamond & Pearl|Series|Great Encounters Two Pack Blisters}}. A promotional version of the Diamond & Pearl print with a gold foil snowflake stamp was one of 24 cards released in the {{TCGMerch|Diamond & Pearl|Series|Pokémon Countdown Calendar}} in October 2008.
