:Yeah, Wonder Guard doesn't protect against status type moves. And yes, Electric and Grass are the only ones super effective against Water. Could be a fun surprise. PLA 15:47, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

Does this mean there's a technique to removing ground's immunity to Electric? <span style="color:#91A3B0">—</span><span style="color:black; font-size: 13pt">Ve<small>№</small>moth</span> ♦ 00:31, 27 January 2011 (UTC)

Do you remember in EP005, where Ash's Pikachu's Thunderbolt did damage to Brock's Onix, in the first part the attack appeared to not make damage but then the sprinklers literally soaked Onix so Pikachu could attack it, much like it is done to remove Ground's Immunity to Electric, is this really notable to put on the article? And yeah I know that the attack hadn't been introduced at the time but it is interesting to note isn't it?--Igor (talk) 16:36, 20 July 2012 (UTC)

STAB
If I soak an Electric-type Pokémon, will its Discharge still get STAB or will it be without? --Abcboy (talk) 03:50, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Gen VI effect - same or different?
I've demonstrated that Trick-or-Treat adds a Ghost type without replacing the Pokemon's original typing (yes, Trick-or-Treat + dual-typed Pokemon = three-typed Pokemon).  Since Soak is a move of similar purpose, can somebody check how it works in Pokemon X and Y?
Namely, we need to know:
* Check if it works or fails against an already-Water-typed Pokemon.
* Soak a pure Ground type (e.g. Diglett family) and check if they are vulnerable to Electric or Ice.
* Soak a dual-Ground type (e.g. Geodude or Rhyhorn families) and check if they are vulnerable to Electric or Ice.
In Generation V, Soaking any Pokemon meant they became pure Water (vulnerable to Electric, resistant to Ice), but if this move was changed to a Water-type variation of Trick-or-Treat, Grounders should retain the immunity to Electric and lose the vulnerability to Ice. --Stratelier 18:48, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

If you use Soak on a Pokémon, and that Pokémon uses a Water-type attack, will it get STAB?Mangaman13 (talk) 19:21, 11 December 2013 (UTC)

Net Ball
Does anyone know if Soak makes Net Ball work?
I think it should be on the page either way.

Wording
I had to check another source to see if Soak's effect persisted even if the "Soaked" Pokémon switched out, which it does not. The wording of this sentence: "Soak changes the target's type to pure Water; the effect lasts as long as the target is in battle", makes it vague (in my opinion) as to what "in battle" specifically means. Is there a way we could change the wording so as to make that more clear? Ki (talk) 19:45, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
