DW artworks

Good job on extracting the Dream World Pokemon arts. Would it be possible to rip the Dream World Item pictures as well? --Maxim 20:35, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

It is. Infact, I already have them since a few days ago, but had been focusing on the Pokemon. Still about 400+ to upload. I also have other stuff like berry trees too. Bluesun 23:45, 19 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks! Well, 41 different Isshu Pokemon currently don't have Dream World art, if that's what you mean. All of the existing Isshu ones have already been uploaded, so you can see what Isshu ones are missing. The first 531 Pokemon are all present though, though I haven't got round to uploading all of them. Bluesun 03:17, 21 October 2010 (UTC)

Alright, just did. The last time they put up vector Pokemon art is the 20th of September. No new decorations either, so they still have to be added... which means more maintenance before the year's end. >_> Bluesun 08:24, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Sega

Kiddo (the person who imported and uploaded videos of Hiragana Katakana Kakechatta to youtube) mentioned there were more in a conversation about games, so I did some research and found out there were seven in all(I think, there could be even more...). I've found boxarts of all but the first one as well. They're all similar edutainment games though. Hirakatakake and Daiundōkai are also available with their respective consoles too. Those names are much better. The reason it was romanised is because I didn't know how to translate "kakechatta" (nobody else was really working on that page). I don't know how fluent you are in Japanese, but do those names sound as cheesy in Japanese as they do in English? --SnorlaxMonster 09:57, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

I don't think I'm quite fluent enough to tell, although they do sound a bit odd, but quite a bit of Japanese phrasing sounds odd when translated directly to English, edutainmentish titles like these even more so I guess, since they're trying to use a Japanese 5 year old's vocabulary or so.

Sure, what should I upload them as? 'Pokemon Advanced Generation Pokemon Number Battle.png' or similar? Or at some different name like 'Pico Game 3.png'?

Wikipedia linked me to here, which shows a Pokémon special Sega Pico and some Pokémon boxes (which appear to be videos) next to a video game console named "New Star 2". --SnorlaxMonster 12:36, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

Yup, that's the Pico that you can get bundled with the Hiragana/Katakana game. And that's a clone of a MegaDrive. The boxes look like MegaDrive game cases to me, maybe something for this page... The top one calls itself 比卡超 げんきでちゅう"Beikachiu, genki dechū"(Hey You, Beikachiu!) the middle one 怪獣[...]'Monster [...]' and the visible text on the bottom one reads [比]卡超II"[Pi]kaqiu II", where Beikachiu and Pikaqiu are both Chinese spellings of Pikachu. Someone on this page mentions that Pikachu II is a jump-action game, continuing on from "Beikachiu, genki dechū", where you kill enemy Pokémon in your way by throwing Monster Balls at them, though their use is different. DW Furniture

Just so you know, the furniture has been moved here since the list can always grow bigger now. Could you add the Japanese text (just replace the big question marks)? And are the Pokémon Center catalog images really like that? The dolls look a little digital, and most of them, for me, don't show most of the time. Lastly, could you get a pic of the Pokémon Center catalog too? Just place it like the Dream catalog was placed. Thanks! ^tc²₆tc₂₆ 03:32, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

Alright, I added the Japanese text (and fixed that obvious mistranslation that popped up out of nowhere, how does Pink no Polo Shirt translate to Clothes Stand anyway...). Currently I've lost my DS and so can't get into the Dream World to see what the dolls look like in-game, but via url hacking those *are* the original files as best as I can tell... the dolls are a bit on the small side though and I think what makes them look digital is that bulbapedia is upscaling them. As for the ones that don't display, I've no idea... I'd suggest server sync issues as they all seem to be uploaded in the right place? I'm looking for the PC Catalogue now, I didn't realise that it had its own graphic. Bluesun 22:09, 27 December 2010 (UTC)

You're welcome. And well, there are 5 green catalogue pictures currently on the Dream World site. Unfortunately because words and pictures are separated (and I can't access the words) I can't tell if it has a name at all though, or even if it's anything more than a placeholder. The castle is the same way though, so I thought I'd put up the picture of the green catalogue. I guess, after all, they added one catalogue, they can add another. Thanks. I was, but it's fine, I found their details on other sites reporting on them, and uploaded them just a few hours ago. As for why you can't unlock them... if you read the press release, it says that you have to access it through the special PokéGirl page of Daisuki Club, else you can't recieve it. And I don't know if I can link directly to that page, as other times I've tried to hotlink Daisuki Club has just redirected to the main page. So if that link doesn't work, you'll have to login to your Daisuki Club yourself, go to the PokéGirl page(the news item for 14/1/11 with the pink picture), then click the Recieve Present button(the big pink one labeled Dream World in English).
