The '''Mic Test''' (Japanese: '''マイクテスト''') is a feature in {{game|HeartGold and SoulSilver|s}}, {{2v2|Black|White}}, {{2v2|Black|White|2}}. It is an interface for testing the microphone on the [[Nintendo DS]].

It was originally added in HeartGold and SoulSilver as a hidden title screen function that is activated by pressing the '''X''', '''Y''', and '''↓''' buttons simultaneously. In the [[Generation V]] games, it is an entry in the [[main menu]].

A mic test function was later included in the settings of the {{wp|Nintendo DSi system software|DSi}} and the {{wp|Nintendo 3DS system software|3DS system software}}, so this feature became unnecessary in post-[[Generation V]] games. As HeartGold, SoulSilver, and the [[Generation V]] games are DS titles, the inclusion of the Mic Test provided players using the older DS models with the ability to test their microphone.
