This template is to be used to link to core series games which have the word "Version" in their titles. By default, the output will not display the word "Version".

Generations VI onward do not use the word "Version", so this template should only be used for games from generations I through V.

Usage

{{game
|1
|2
|3
|4
}}

Template fields

  • field 1 (version name) - The name of the version, for example "Emerald". Paired versions can also be used with an "and" in between, for example "Diamond and Pearl".
  • field 2 (suffix) (optional) - Any suffix to be added at the end of the word "Version". A common use case is putting an "s" here to link to "Versions".
  • field 3 (display text) (optional) - The text to be displayed as the clickable link. If this is left blank, then "Pokémon <field 1>" (e.g. "Pokémon Emerald") displays.
  • field 4 (extra descriptor) (optional) - Special case for Pokémon Black and White Versions 2. Displays an extra descriptor one space after "Version".
