Welcome to Bulbapedia, Mr.GodzillaMan!
Bulbapedia bulb.png

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! -- G50 05:59, 8 February 2020 (UTC)

Biology

Hey there, when writing down the biology section, try to be as descriptive as possible and cover every part of the Pokémon. Apart from Calyrex, which was already descriptive, the rest were just too simple. Thank you.--ForceFire 06:31, 8 February 2020 (UTC)

Drednaw

I noticed on the Drednaw history page that you made several edits consecutively. It is very important to preview the edits first so you can see how they look, which is especially useful with broken links and incorrect file directives. Please do so in the future to prevent multiple mistakes filling the history pages. Pallukun (talk) 21:54, 9 February 2020 (UTC)

A word of advice

When editing a character's history, avoid making it too wordy. These sections don't need to be bloated, especially not for a character that has done very little. Second, if it's not a major plot event or relevant to the character in question, skip it. Shirudomiria's love of Ball Guy is completely irrelevant to Magnolia. Third, as you were previously asked, use the preview button. Thank you. Ataro (talk) 22:16, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

Anime dex entries

Only the English dub dex entries get added onto the pages, since we're an English wiki. What you added were the Japanese dex entries. And please pay more attention to edit summaries, as it was already explained, twice, why they were removed. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:27, 13 February 2020 (UTC)

Manga content

Please avoid adding manga-related content unless you've actually read the corresponding chapter. A bunch of out-of-context, untranslated images and a basic summary is not an acceptable substitute. Ataro (talk) 03:24, 27 February 2020 (UTC)

Manga name

If you see a nickname in a scanlated manga chapter, assume it was a localization done by the scanlator and not the actual official name. We only use official names here. Thank you. Ataro (talk) 18:03, 2 March 2020 (UTC)

Copying content

I've noticed that your recent spate of edits to manga chapters appear to all come directly from the Fandom Pokémon Wiki. This also seems to apply to many of your other past edits, including one of your earliest edits.

As the edit page says, above the Save changes button: Do not submit the work of others without permission. It is not appropriate to copy whole pieces of content from any site. (Even copying from official Pokemon sites is only appropriate if there is some need to directly quote them.) This is a blockable offense. Please only submit content that comes from you. Tiddlywinks (talk) 23:30, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

Block

You are receiving a block for edit warring for your contributions to the problem on SS014. As you made 1 reversion, your block lasts 1 day. In any situation, talk pages should be used before things go too far; moreso when you were very obviously dealing with a brand new user.

When you return, I hope you remember to use talk pages a little more. Tiddlywinks (talk) 00:22, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

Ok. Mr.GodzillaMan (talk) 00:25, 9 March 2020 (UTC)

YayBoy7 and Yeety

Would you be able to explain why you share an IP address with the blocked users YayBoy7 and Yeety? --Abcboy (talk) 20:59, 17 March 2020 (UTC)

Who's Yayboy7 and Yeety? I don't know them. (Mr.GodzillaMan (talk) 21:34, 18 March 2020 (UTC))
Both of those accounts were sockpuppets of JeffyBooBoo6 who all vandalized several pages and harassed users on their talk pages. Creating multiple accounts on Bulbapedia is not permitted and may lead to a block, unless you have some explanation as to why these users share the same IP address as you. --Abcboy (talk) 22:12, 18 March 2020 (UTC)
Shenanigans! I don't them! Those users probably stole my IP address. (Mr.GodzillaMan (talk) 22:15, 18 March 2020 (UTC))

Welcoming users

Hey there. I noticed you welcomed a user earlier in the day by coping and pasting the welcome message from another user's talk page. You can actually create a welcome message much quicker/accurately by using the {{subst:welcome}} template, which can be found in the character palette below every edit window. This will automatically insert that user's name as well into the message. Just a tip for next time~! --Pokemaster97 03:02, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

Alright I'll do that next time. My apologies. (Mr.GodzillaMan (talk) 03:03, 19 March 2020 (UTC))
Another thing, you're welcoming users who haven't made any contributions yet. You should wait until a new user makes a contribution to the mainspace before sending them a welcome template. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:19, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

Anime Pokémon notability

Articles for Pokémon in the anime must follow the notability requirements set out in the manual of style. Please create such drafts in the userspace and have a staff member approve them. --Abcboy (talk) 05:00, 19 March 2020 (UTC)

Zarude (M23)

Please don't create that article yet, the movie hasn't even come out yet. If you want to make a draft, you can do so on your userpage. This extends to other anime Pokemon articles as well, if you want to suggest an article for an anime Pokemon, make it in your userspace first and then ask if it is notable. Thank you.--ForceFire 04:31, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

This appears to be the second time you've received a warning like this. Please remember to heed advice on anime articles for Pokémon. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 06:37, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

Your edits

Please make sure the titles you write match up with what is actually written as the official title. You failed to do so here. Spelling and punctuation is always important. Thank you. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 00:25, 15 April 2020 (UTC)

Spelling

Hello. When editing an article, please make sure that you spell the word "Pokémon" with the accent over the e. The accented e is the second option on the character palette below (or you can just copy-paste the the "From Bulbapedia" text at the top of every page, your choice).
