Pokémon

A patch was released in conjunction with the launch of The Crown Tundra. Players can access these new and returning Pokémon even if they have not purchased the Expansion Pass with the help of trading and Pokémon HOME. Pokémon found in the wild and those owned by other Trainers in The Crown Tundra will change their levels depending on whether the player has completed the Champion Cup.

New Pokémon and forms

The Legendary Pokémon Calyrex debuted in The Crown Tundra.

Galarian Slowpoke can be evolved into Galarian Slowking using the Galarica Wreath.

All Legendary Pokémon from previous generations can be found in the Crown Tundra[2]. In addition, five new Legendary Pokémon have been revealed. Two of these Pokémon are new Legendary titans, Regieleki and Regidrago; while the other three are regional forms of the Legendary birds: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres.

Returning Pokémon

Over 100 old Pokémon was made available in Pokémon Sword and Shield alongside the release of The Crown Tundra.

Customization

The protagonist can wear exploration gear and new fashion items were also available.

Four players on a Dynamax Adventure

Dynamax Adventures

Players will be able to explore Pokémon Dens to find Legendary Pokémon from previous core series games and fight them in Max Raid Battles in a co-op play mode called Dynamax Adventures. To reach the Legendary Pokémon, players must face off against three Dynamaxed Pokémon. The player can choose which way to go after defeating the Dynamaxed Pokémon before reaching the end. Damages such as lost of HP and PP is carried from the previous battle. Occasionally, the players will run into characters or Berries that can be used for healing. The Legendary Pokémon found at the end of Dynamax Adventures can be caught without fail, but the player can only get one per game.

Galarian Star Tournament

Once the player has completed the Crown Tundra story, a new battle mechanic called the Galarian Star Tournament will be unlocked within Wyndon Stadium. This Tournament allows the player to team up and battle against Trainers encountered in the main game.
