Supersonic (Japanese: ちょうおんぱ Soundwave) is a fairly accurate non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Generation I

Supersonic causes the opponent to become confused.

Supersonic will fail if the opponent has a substitute or is already confused.

In the anime

Pokémon

Zubat. Small blue circles are released from Zubat's Mouth. The circles then grow in size and fly towards the opponent. Any Pokémon that gets hit by the circles instantly becomes confused.

Mothim. Invisible circles are released from Mothim. The circles then grow in size and fly towards the opponent. Any Pokémon that gets hit by the circles instantly becomes confused.
