Regirock (Japanese: レジロック Regirock) is a Template:Type2 legendary Pokémon.
It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon.
It is, along with Regice and Registeel, one of the three legendary golems of Hoenn.
Biology
Physiology
Regirock is a large golem made of rocks. Regirock has a braille pattern on its face that resembles a capital letter "H." An interesting thing about Regirock is that the rocks it is made of come from several different places. The reason for this is that whenever it gets damaged in battle, it searches for rocks to repair itself with. This habit also contributes to Regirock's patchwork appearance. What is even stranger is that Regirock has no internal organs.
Gender differences
Regirock is genderless.
Special abilities
Regirock mostly knows Rock, Ground and Template:Type2 attacks. For some odd reason, Regirock can learn Electrical attacks, more specifically the move Zap Cannon that it learns naturally. If Regirock is damaged, it can repair itself by building its body with rocks.
Behavior
If Regirock’s body is damaged in battle, it is said to seek out suitable rocks on its own to repair itself.
Habitat
Regirock was sealed in Hoenn's ancient ruins.
Diet
- Main article: Pokémon food
As Regirock has no sign of a brain or heart, it is possible that it does not have a stomach either or it otherwise may have no need to eat in a conventional way.

Trivia
- Regirock is tied with Steelix for having the second highest Defense base stat of all Pokémon, only losing to Shuckle.
- Regirock, Regice, and Registeel are the only Pokémon to have Explosion as a starting move.
- In Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, there is an unobtainable Regirock Doll programmed into the game. It may have been intended to be obtained with the e-Reader.
- In the Pokémon Adventures manga, Regirock was the only member of the Legendary Golems not to be used by a trainer that specialized in its type. Regice was used by Glacia, an Template:Type2 trainer, and Registeel was used by Steven Stone, a Template:Type2 trainer, while Regirock was used by Sidney and Drake, a Template:Type2 trainer and Template:Type2 trainer, respectively.
- Regirock is the only Rock-type Legendary Pokémon (not including Arceus when holding the Stone Plate).
Origin
This Pokémon is based on the golems of Hebrew legend. The legends cast them as servants of higher powers and are said to have writing on their heads. When the writing is removed, the creature would be weakened.
Name origin
Regirock's name comes from regius, which is Latin for royal, and the word rock.
