Pain Split (Japanese: いたみわけ Pain Split) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation II. Prior to Generation IV, it was the signature move of Misdreavus.

Effect

Pain Split adds the current HP of the user and target Pokémon. It then divides this value by two and sets the HP of both Pokémon to the result (limited by each Pokémon's maximum HP).

Pain Split bypasses accuracy checks to always hit, unless the opponent is in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move such as Dig or Fly. It will fail if the target is behind a Substitute.
