Leon's Charizard (Japanese: ダンデ リザードン Dande's Lizardon) is Leon's main battling Pokémon in the anime, games, and the Pokémon Adventures manga.
In the anime
In the main series
Charizard debuted in Flash of the Titans!, where it was used to battle Lance and his Red Gyarados. Despite the type disadvantage, Charizard battled hard and both Lance and Leon Gigantamaxed their Pokémon. In the end, after a hard-fought battle, Charizard defeated Gyarados and emerged victorious.
In the next episode, it was used in Leon's battle against Ash. It battled against Pikachu and eventually won using its G-Max Wildfire.
In JN027, Charizard went up against Raihan and his Duraludon and won there.
Personality and characteristics
Charizard is a powerful Pokémon, being able to defeat Champions such as Lance's Red Gyarados and Ash's Pikachu. Charizard is also close with Leon, as seen when it gave Leon a high five after their victory over Lance. After winning, Charizard tends to fire a Flamethrower into the sky. Charizard seems to able to the competitive nature when it soon realizes that Ash's Pikachu is able to become giantomax as it told its trainer as it made Leon to agreed.

In Pokémon: Twilight Wings
Charizard appeared in Letter, where it and Leon battled Bea and her Machamp in a televised battle in Wyndon Stadium. The Champion and his partner eventually emerged victorious. Charizard later appeared with Leon in a brief flashback Chairman Rose had while meeting John, a fan of Leon's.
In Training, Bea thought she saw Charizard in the Wild Area, only to realize it was actually a Rhydon. In Buddy, it was seen on television.

In the games
Charizard is Leon's main Pokémon in the games. Leon and Charizard first took part in the Gym Challenge when Leon was ten years old and claimed the victory in the Champion Cup on their first attempt. Since that victory, Leon and Charizard have remained unbeaten in both League and exhibition matches until they were defeated by the player character. During the battle against Eternatus, Charizard was used to wear it down. When able to, Leon will Gigantamax Charizard at the first opportunity. In the Battle Tower, Leon will always use Charizard.

Charizard first appeared in PASS02. It was first seen helping Leon herd a flock of Wooloo.
In the Pocket Monsters manga
Charizard appeared in JNM04, defeating Lance and his Gyarados in the finals of the World Coronation Series.
