Grassy Terrain (Japanese: グラスフィールド Grass Field) is a non-damaging Grass-type move introduced in Generation VI.

Effect

Grassy Terrain creates terrain that restores the HP of grounded Pokémon by 1/16 at the end of each turn and increases the power of Grass-type moves used by grounded Pokémon by 50%. The terrain fades after five turns.

The terrain does not affect Flying-type Pokémon, those with the Ability Levitate, Pokémon holding an Air Balloon, or Pokémon affected by Magnet Rise or Telekinesis.

If Grassy Terrain is in effect, Nature Power becomes Energy Ball, Secret Power uses the animation of Vine Whip and may cause sleep, and Camouflage causes the user to become Grass-type. In addition, the power of Earthquake, Bulldoze, and Magnitude is halved, even in a single battle.[1]

Grassy Terrain also activates the Ability Grass Pelt.

Description

Games Description
The user turns the ground under everyone's feet to grass for five turns. This restores the HP of Pokémon on the ground a little every turn.
