Effect

Pound inflicts damage and has no secondary effect.

Pound can be used as part of a Pokémon Contest combination, causing Double Slap, Faint Attack and Slam to give two extra appeal points if used in the next turn.

In Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team, Pound is a move with 8 base power, 90% accuracy and 22PP. The user attacks enemy in front of them.

In Explorers of Time, Darkness and Sky, the move's power has been changed to 6 and its PP to 27.

Super Smash Bros. series

Pound is Jigglypuff's neutral special in Super Smash Bros. and its side special from Super Smash Bros. Melee onwards. It is mainly used as an alternate recovery move, since its up special, Sing, does not help Jigglypuff recover. The move does extra shield damage and can thus be used to easily break shields.

Pokémon UNITE

In Pokémon UNITE, Pound is Wigglytuff's and Blissey's first move.

Wigglytuff starts with the move. The user slaps the area in front of them twice, damaging and slowing enemies in a cone. At level 6, it is replaced by either Double Slap or Dazzling Gleam.

Blissey starts with the move. The user pounds in a designated direction, damaging and slowing enemies hit. At level 6, it is replaced by either Egg Bomb or Helping Hand.
