Route 116 is an east-west route in western Hoenn. It is host to the headquarters of the drilling team in charge of Rusturf Tunnel's development, and the only location in Hoenn in which Skitty and Nincada are obtainable in the wild.
Route description
There are three large patches of grass on the route, containing wild Pokémon at low levels. This route is, also, the first area where trainers will encounter wild Whismur. In addition, it is one of three places at which trainers can catch wild Taillow, native to Hoenn.
A relatively large portion of the route requires Cut to access. On the east side of the route, near the entrance to Rusturf Tunnel, there is a small cave, concealed by a small indent, where a Secret Base can be made.
