Shinto Ruins
According to serebii the Oha Suta show in Japan revealed a the details of where you go for the Arceus event. It says,"If you take Arceus to the Ruins of Alph, you will be given access to a new area which houses ruins called Shinto Ruins."
Should we add a Shinto Ruins Article or just expand on the Ruins of Alph? -MasterKenobi 00:03, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'll add to the Ruins of Alph for now, although if it turns out to be a bigger place we can start a full article. ~ solaris 00:33, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
It's not big. You can only come there once, and there are no pokémon you can catch there. Leave it here or make an special page for the Arceus event I should say.--RedJiggly 14:03, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
dunno how this should be included so i'll leave it to you guys
in gen IV, the first chamber has a heal powder, an energy powder, a pecha berry and an oran berry Kanjo 13:48, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
- As the only changes are the berries (which are really just the same berries but with Gen III/IV names) I've added them in parentheses. —darklordtrom 21:15, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
New Unown Texts in Soul Silver/Heart Gold?
I'm playing Soul Silver, and found the new text in the chambers of Ruins of Alph. It's Japanese(so I can't read it) but i'm sure its not the same text as in G/S/C because all messages begins with the same word/sentence(EDIT: all exept the water stone). I hope somebody can translate it, and post the result on the Ruins of Alph page.

- We humans must walk with them. For their sake, we will depart.
- We will carve words of our kind here.
- We will craft images of the Pokémon outside.
- We sense their consciousness. They hold power. They reject the outside.
- That's the most sense I can make of them. A lot of it's in the air because Unown apparently can't be assed to use particles to make their messages the slightest bit less ambiguous.—Loveはドコ? (talk • contribs) 19:27, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
Help!
I dont know how to insert a hyperlink to the Unown Report page, I was the guy who added that bit
Shinto Ruins
They can't be unified with Ruins of Alph article. It's a completely different location. --Maxim 17:10, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Shouldn't...
Shouldn't it be noted that in G/S/C, the Ruins of Alph don't match in the overworld? This is what I'm talking about. --Dr. James 03:28, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- Whoa is that seriously the case? Well then yes. It is an issue. TTEchidna 18:43, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
- Ok, so where do we put this? --Dr.James (questions?) 03:00, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Radio Broadcast in HG/SS
Is the strange radio broadcast on 13.5 present in HeartGold/SoulSilver? There is no "13.5" on the new radio tuner, and I can't seem to find the broadcast anywhere on the globe graphic. HerbieHero 02:45, 5 April 2010 (UTC)HerbieHero
- All you have to do is go inside one of the rooms of the Ruins and any of the stations give the broadcast. You do have to be inside though for it to happen. R.A. Hunter Blade 03:06, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
- In my US HeartGold, I'm only getting it if I tune to the center of the dial. The 4 "preset" stations are all silence. Chupi 01:52, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Smeargle encounter rate tweak
I've done some spading today. In approximately 1,000 encounters (give or take 9 or 10), I encountered Smeargle 37 times. I'm not saying we should change the encounter rate table to say 3.7%, but the current 10% doesn't seem to be accurate. What's your take?--Hirakata jazz 05:54, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Data of Pokémon
Before dropping into the hole, there is a description of the Pokémon (Kabuto, Kabutops, Omanyte (Omastar?), and Aerodactyl). They're not Pokédex entries from what I know. This is Kabuto's for instance: This Pokémon hides on the seafloor and watches the shore with eyes on its back. What do you propose we do? ht14 01:42, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- We can probably put them in, just like the Unown messages you see when dropping down. R.A. Hunter Blade 12:52, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- Hard to implement at the current state, as we don't have the section for the puzzles yet. On a similar note, Aero's description: This Pokémon knew no fear and flew as it pleased through the skies long ago. ht14 02:32, 28 June 2010 (UTC)
- Pictures of each of the puzzles would be nice... —darklordtrom 12:14, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Second Chamber message
The section on the second chamber currently contains the line:
- the far wall reads flash (light in Pokémon Crystal, HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions)
However, there is no (readable) text on the far walls of any of the chambers in Gold & Silver, so in what game does "flash" appear? --Minimiscience 06:14, 21 December 2010 (UTC)
Chamber Order
Is there anything to base chamber order off other than speculation? I think that the second and third chamber should be switched around considering the formes of Unown that are released via the chambers. Wexdarn (talk) 09:31, 12 June 2012 (UTC)
Unlocking each page of the unown report
To unlock all the pages of the unown report, you will have to do the following:
Page 1-7
- Solve all jigsaw puzzles - Open every secret room (Use flash, a water stone, an escape rope, and show ho-oh as your first pokemon) - Be sure to drop down all the holes in the secret rooms, you need to see the text written on the floors! - Catch all the unown
Every time you complete one of these tasks, the scientist looking at the books in the scientist house will have more information you scribble down in your unown report. After you unlock the scientists little speech about the ! and ?, go to the main entrance hall where you will now find cameron the photographer. On the north side of the room read the rune, you'll be teleported back to the scientist house, then go to the main hall again, now just walk around here and you will encounter ! and ? unowns in the same area the photographer is! After you caught both of them, pages 8 and 9 will also be unlocked.
I found it very hard to find this information anywhere on the internet, so thought it'd be nice to at least have it here for others who are having trouble with it. Maybe someone should edit this into the page, or add it to the unown report page.
Arceus and Ho-Oh
"Some of those noises are actually Ho-Oh's distorted cries, and the melody of the Azure Flute." Am I the only one who doesn't hear this? I mean, I could stretch my imagination and say it sounds a little bit like the Azure flute, but Ho-Oh's cry? I don't hear it at all and Ho-Oh has a pretty distinctive cry. Unless a sound designer has specifically said that it is a distortion of Ho-Oh's cry, I don't think this sentence should be in the article as it is merely speculation. Me, Hurray! (talk) 19:35, 14 January 2016 (UTC)
- I also do not hear either of these sounds and the music track that plays seems to just be an updated version of the track from Generation II (I own the OST). Unless the game sometimes plays sound effects on top of the music track (which I do not know for sure and I have not currently checked) then I have no idea where this information came from and it should definitely be sourced. Gen II puzzles
Serebii suggests that the puzzles do unlock additional unown forms in gen 2, but doesn't specify which. Just thought this was relevant due to the recent addition of the incomplete template. --Felthry (F.K.A. Xolroc) (talk) 00:08, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
