I've been using Bide a lot in Gen I Mt. Moon, and it really seems as if Bide's damage pool is reset when an opponent uses an absorption move like Leech Life. I consistently do almost no damage against Zubats that are eating my rather low-level Pokémon alive. Could someone who knows more about these things look into this? The article states that sleep and similar effects will pause but not disrupt the duration of Bide. However, in Platinum at least, a Biding Pokemon that is put to sleep will not resume using Bide when it awakens. Does anyone have more accurate information about this?
