::::Work with Paint.net. It's quite easy to get used to if all you currently use is Paint. As for animated sprites, yes I do believe that all the Gen IV sprites are being changed to be animated, but you probably can't see the animation since they're being saved as animated PNGs which some browsers don't support yet.
