In Generation I, he's called both THE [[Collector|Pokémon Collector]] and "a true blue [[Pokémaniac]]." Never once do the first generation games call him a [[Scientist|Pokémon Researcher]]. Where did that come from - speculation based on the fact he made the PC System? He's more of a [[Pokémon Storage System|Sys Ops]] than a Researcher.
