The Sword & Shield expansion issued an errata that changed the effect of Quick Ball. Quick Ball is now a more specialized version of Ultra Ball, requiring the player to discard a card from their hand in order to search for a Basic Pokémon from their deck and put it into their hand. Due to the errata, all older printings of Quick Ball are treated as having the text of the Sword and Shield version.
