This card was included in the {{TCG|Evolving Skies}} expansion with artwork by [[OKACHEKE]], first released in the Japanese {{TCG|Blue Sky Stream}} expansion. A {{TCG|SWSH Black Star Promos|SWSH Black Star Promotional}} print of this card was one of the {{TCG|Prerelease cards|Prerelease promos}} for Evolving Skies with different artwork by [[Pani Kobayashi]], available in the {{TCG|Evolving Skies Build & Battle Box}}. It was reprinted as a {{TCG|Full Art card|Full Art}} {{TCG|Secret card}} with artwork by [[Studio Bora Inc.]] in the {{TCG|Fusion Strike}} expansion, first released in the Japanese {{TCG|Fusion Arts}} expansion. The SWSH Black Star Promotional print was subsequently released as part of the Japanese {{TCG|VMAX Climax}} subset alongside a {{TCG|Full Art card|Full Art}} {{TCG|Secret card|Secret}} print with artwork by [[saino misaki]]. The VMAX Climax Full Art Secret print was later included in the {{TCG|Silver Tempest}} expansion. In Japan, the Evolving Skies print was reprinted in the {{TCG|Start Deck 100}}, the {{TCG|VSTAR Premium Trainer Box}}, the {{TCG|VSTAR Universe}} subset, and the {{TCG|Premium Trainer Box ex}}; Mirror Holofoil versions of this print were also included in the {{TCG|Zeraora VSTAR & VMAX High-Class Deck}} and the {{TCG|Charizard VSTAR vs Rayquaza VMAX Special Deck Set}}.
