I don't know if I really wanna orphan existing event links by removing any of the by-method pages right away. I kinda feel like we should mainspace your userspace pages...and probably update the template, kinda orphaning the ''by-method'' pages. Then you work on changing links, and finally when they're all done, ''then'' I'll dispose of the by-method pages (maybe merge them into a by-game page just for the histories). Does this sound good?
