Honoka was first seen practicing a performance alongside her {{p|Eevee}} nicknamed Karen, which she planned to evolve into a {{p|Flareon}} during the next performance. While talking to {{Ash}}, [[Goh]], and [[Chloe]], a [[Thunder Stone]] was accidentally dropped on her Eevee, causing her to evolve into {{p|Jolteon}}. {{OBP|Billy|JN098}}'s Eevee accidentally became a Flareon so Honoka took him instead but he refused to listen to her commands. While practicing with her other Pokémon, Karen showed off her {{m|Thunder Shock}} and Honoka was able to come up with a plan which involved Billy and [[Chloe's Eevee]] to do a performance.

After their performance, Honoka provided Chloe with a Fire Stone so that Chloe could evolve her Eevee into a Flareon one day.
