like i know that ゴクリン is only one letter off from ゴブリン, but like, it just doesn't look like a goblin? at all? idk. (https://wiki.xn--rckteqa2e.com/wiki/%E3%82%B4%E3%82%AF%E3%83%AA%E3%83%B3 only lists "gokuri" as the sole etymology). also, i really hope im not the only one who had thought for years that Gulpin looks like some Japanese dessert.
