Dracovish then went up against Drasna’s {{p|Altaria}}, but it was quickly Mega Evolved into Mega Altaria. Despite managing to land a super effective Ice Fang, Dracovish was struggling against Mega Altaria, which led Ash to recall it back. However, Dracovish didn't stay in its PokéBall for long as it decided to come back out to cheer Sirfetch'd on. After Sirfetch'd defeated Mega Altaria and also went down from the damage it sustain from its battles, Dracovish then went up against Noivern again, where it managed to defeat the Sound Wave Pokémon after an initial struggle, giving Ash the win and bringing his rank up.

It first went up against {{p|Noivern}}, who managed to cut Dracovish's stamina in half with {{m|Super Fang}}, but was so badly hit by Dracovish's Ice Fang in the process that Drasna subsequently [[recall]]ed it and sent out her {{p|Altaria}}, which she soon proceeded to [[Mega Evolution|Mega Evolve]]. Although Ash got the idea to drench Altaria's feathers with {{m|Water Gun}}, his strategy to exploit this failed due to him not knowing that Mega Altaria is part {{t|Fairy}} type, rendering Dracovish's Dragon Rush useless against it. As such, Ash chose to then recall Dracovish, but it almost immediately came back out to cheer for Sirfetch'd. After Sirfetch'd had taken Altaria down with it, Dracovish returned to the battle, with Sirfetch'd cheering for it. With this mental support, Dracovish was able to push through Noivern's attacks and defeat it, making Ash the winner of the match and increasing his ranking.
