Iwasaki was born on October 25, 1971, in {{wp|Tokyo}}, {{wp|Japan}}, and became a seiyū as an adult. In the Pokémon anime, he first voiced [[Opelucid City]] [[Gym Leader]] [[Drayden]] in [[Pokemon Generations]]. He then joined the main series during the {{series|Sun & Moon}}, where he voiced [[Mad Magmar]], a member of the antagonistic [[Revengers]]. Iwasaki tends to be cast in the roles of minions or ruffians.
