 In Japan, further reprints of the Regular print were included in the {{TCG|GX Ultra Shiny}} subset and the {{TCG|Tag Team GX Deck Build Box}}. A new print with different artwork by [[Hideki Ishikawa]] was released as a {{TCG|Yellow A Alternate cards|Yellow A Alternate card}} and was awarded to the top 4 competitors of League Challenges held during the Team Up Season (February-April 2019). Tournaments held as part of these events utilized the Extra Regulation format (equivalent to the {{TCG|Expanded format}} outside Japan), commemorating the release of the {{TCG|Extra Regulation Box}} on October 4, 2019. Depending on the venue and places available, people could either register on the day of an event or could enter a lottery via the Players Club website to reserve their place. The application period for events held in October was open between September 17 and 24, 2019, with results announced on September 27, 2019. The application period for events held in November was open between October 11 and 18, 2019, with results announced on October 25, 2019. Each tournament comprised 3 rounds of Swiss between groups of up to 8 people depending on attendance. The ranking of players following the conclusion of the tournament was determined as follows:
