An untitled Super Smash Bros. game is in development for [[Nintendo Switch]] and is planned for release in 2018.
[[Super Smash Bros. Ultimate]] will be released for the [[Nintendo Switch]] on December 7, 2018. All previously playable characters will return, which means that Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Pichu, Pokémon Trainer (with Squirtle, Ivysaur and Charizard), Lucario and Greninja will return. No Pokémon newcomers are known at this point.
