Welcome to Bulbapedia, Torpoleon!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

  • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
  • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
  • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
  • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
  • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
  • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
  • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Ask for help. The staff won't bite.
  • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
  • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Hi

Any reason your IP matches with that of GamerKing97? You're only allowed one account here. Jellotalk 21:46, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

I don't really know. I just joined, but I don't know. I don't recall joining here before. 21:58, 12 February 2011 (UTC)Torpoleon

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Changes button... Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Thanks! ----rockersk08 00:20, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

I know. It's just I thought some stuff looked fine. I'll use that all the time from now on though. Torpoleon 00:24, 12 April 2011 (UTC)

Episode numbers

Next time you want to change them, please use the talk page and discuss why they should be removed. Thank you. --P S Yライダー 20:08, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

Sorry. I noticed that all the first three series didn't have the episodes right next to the evolution and that you could click on the arrows for the episode. Torpoleon 20:11, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Well, in that case, Kenji-girl is the head of Project Anime, which is dedicated to the anime aspect of Bulbapedia, and it would be better to bring the issue up with her and see what she says. --P S Yライダー 20:32, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Definitely make sure you ask in the right spot. Why did you post a discussion on a blank article page? --rockersk08 20:36, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
OK, I'll ask Kenji-girl, Rockersk08, I did the "make a new section" thing, but then it just got posted in a talk page called Pokémon: Black. Torpoleon 22:40, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
Kenji-girl said it was OK for me to remove the epicodes as long as the link is in the arrow. Torpoleon 23:10, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

BW039

Do you have any proof that Sawk and Gurdurr will appear in BW039? Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:15, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Yes. Here is a You Tube Video from Pokémon Smash's Preview for BW041: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vvRstlVFf-0 Torpoleon 02:19, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Indeed, I've seen this before. But I was unsure if it was solely BW039, or if it was all four episodes jammed together. The preview at the end of the show, which was solely for BW039, only showed Stoutland. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:25, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Well, this certainly looks like it is just for BW039. It shows a lot of scenes we already knew of which are from BW039. Torpoleon 02:28, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Yes indeed, but it was also just showing off the rivals. From what I can see, it just says "Don Battle starts 7/7/11!" not that all of these scenes will be seen on the 7th...I was giving it the benefit of the doubt and hiding Sawk and Gurdurr until we know for sure. Does this make sense? Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:34, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Sure. BW039 airs in about four days anyways. Torpoleon 02:35, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
So you for hiding it for now? I just don't want to have info based on a "chance" on the pages. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 02:50, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, that's fine. We'll have answers in four days anyways. Torpoleon 02:52, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than one edit per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --Truthseeker4449 22:51, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

Sorry about that. Torpoleon 22:54, 2 October 2011 (UTC)
If you stick to the limit from now on you should be fine. See ya. Truthseeker4449 23:08, 2 October 2011 (UTC)

The Preview Button

Hey, we really appreciate the edits you have been making to help out with B2W2. The issue, however is that you've been making multiple edits to the same page. Whenever possible try to use the preview button or try to combine your edits into one instead of editing section by section. This will help keep the RC unclogged. Thank you. --Pokemaster97 20:13, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

I was editing the Spring, Summer, Autumn & Winter sections. How would I combine that all into one? I was using the Preview Button by the way. Torpoleon (talk) 20:24, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
You could edit them all at once by pressing the green edit button on the top of the page and just scroll down to the next section when you finished one of them. Then you could save Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter at the same time. --Pokemaster97 20:26, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh, I honestly didn't know that! Thanks for telling me! That'll save me tons of time and definitely wont clog up the RC! Torpoleon (talk) 20:28, 13 July 2012 (UTC)
No problem just tryin to help you out. XD --Pokemaster97 20:29, 13 July 2012 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than one edit per day and make sure you contribute to our mainspace more than your userspace. I'm aware. That was my only edit today. I do help out in the mainspace a lot as well.Torpoleon (talk) 14:34, 24 August 2012 (UTC)
I am sorry but it was not your only edit on 24th August. You edited your userspace twice that day, when you are suppose to edit it only once. That is why I dropped a message. AdynizWanna talk? 13:59, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
Oh, forgot about that. Sorry. For the future, I'll stick to one edit (at least until we are allowed to go back to the normal amount). Torpoleon (talk) 14:22, 25 August 2012 (UTC)
Good to know. AdynizWanna talk? 14:46, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

M15 English title

Hello, could you let me see the source where you found the English title for M15? Ataro (talk) 19:34, 17 September 2012 (UTC)

Code of Conduct

Please abide by the Code of Conduct. There was no need to tell GrammarFreak to "mind his own damn business". Users are expected to be civil to one another, and it is a public wiki, meaning your edits are going to be changed whether you like it or not. If you have issues with a user, bring it up with the s staff member. Regarding your edit, it did not need to be a separate bullet point, it could easily continue off from the main bullet point.--ForceFire 04:58, 9 July 2019 (UTC)

If you'll notice GrammarFreak has constantly done this to people, and I am not the only one bothered by this. Just look at past messages on his talk page where people have complained, so don't come over to my talk page to complain about my conduct. He's the one with the conduct issues, not me. I'm just calling out his nonsense. He doesn't help people by making nitpicky changes to people's edits. I am allowed to complain about ridiculous edits being made. That's part of it being a public wiki. Torpoleon (talk) 14:06, 9 July 2019 (UTC)
I'm aware of GramarFreak's past, but that does not give you the right to be rude to him. Nothing about his comment towards you was against the code of conduct, you telling him to "mind his own damn business" is. As I said, users are expected to be civil to one another, there is no reason to be rude.--ForceFire 06:47, 10 July 2019 (UTC)
