SM005: Difference between revisions

Outside [[Professor Kukui]]'s house, {{AP|Rockruff}} and {{AP|Pikachu}} are playing when {{Ash}} leaves the house to head to school. On their way to school Ash spots {{an|Lana}} and {{TP|Lana|Popplio}} testing their balloon skills. They continue as Ash goes on ahead to school. Arriving at school, Ash is surprised when a sleeping {{AP|Rowlet}} falls out of his bag. Later Professor Kukui informs his students that tomorrows extracurricular lesson will involve connecting with sea Pokémon which will involve going [[fishing]]. Outside {{TRT}} are spying on them and wonder what Ash is doing going to school when they are spotted by [[Samson Oak]]. They manage to pass themselves off as tourists. Back in class, Professor Kukui tells Lana she will be in charge of the lesson. Remembering that they first met whilst Lana was fishing, {{an|Mallow}} says that Lana is a fishing master. {{an|Sophocles}} asks {{an|Lillie}} how she will cope with touching Pokémon which Lillie says she has a secret weapon.

Later Ash and Lana are walking home with Lana offering Ash one of her fishing rods when Lana decides to show Ash one of Popplio's techniques unaware that Team Rocket are spying on them. Down on the beach, {{Rotom}} provides data on Popplio which includes making balloons and Ash realizes that this was what Lana was doing that morning with Lana confirms. Lana confirms this and says this was where she met Popplio when it was being attacked by [[Team Skull]] but she saw them off with {{DL|Lana (anime)|Lapras}}. After Popplio was treated by [[Nurse Joy]], Popplio agreed to be her partner. Popplio has ago at making balloons but they are small and quickly pop. Lana says her dream is to make the biggest balloon possible to make her spend more time underwater but Rotom says that is impossible. Popplio has another go and manages to make one bigger than possible which flies away but soon pops. Outside Lana's house, Ash spots Lapras which excites him as Lana explains that it is her [[Ride Pokémon]]. Team Rocket hears this and decides they should capture as many Ride Pokémon as they can and {{MTR}} comes up with an idea on how to use them but hasn't come up with a plan. Inside Lana's house, Ash meets Lana's sisters [[Harper and Sarah]] who excited to see Pikachu and take him into the next room to play which starts to bother Pikachu. Lana stops them and they see Ash and ask if he is her boyfriend which Lana denies. Their antics annoy Pikachu which results in him shocking everyone. Soon Lana gives Ash a fishing rod.

The next morning the class gather where Lillie's secret weapon is a protective suit so she doesn't have to touch Pokémon. Professor Kukui hands over teaching duties to Lana and despite being nervous begins the lesson. Sophocles shows of his rod which will give him details on the best course of action and could even help him catch a {{p|Wailord}}. The class get on the Lapras and {{p|Wailmer}} who take them to their fishing spot. Near their fishing spot, a {{p|Slowpoke}} has its tail in the water when a {{p|Sharpedo}} bites on to it. Lana begins her lesson by saying that many marine Pokémon live here, some in shallow water, some in deep water and even mentions the legendary {{p|Kyogre}} but Mallow tells her to stop teasing Ash. They all cast their lures into the water except Sophocles as Pikachu dips his tail in. Lana tells the others that once the float moves, they need to make their own moves as Lana manages to reel in an {{p|Alomomola}} and provides it with some food. Lana also manages to attract a {{p|Corsola}}, {{p|Finneon}} and several {{p|Corsola}}. Pikachu notices Ash's float moving and he grabs Ash's attention and he starts to reel it in but he was too fast. Mallow also gets a bite but was too slow to react and neither are happy with Rotom's comments. {{an|Kiawe}} hasn't caught anything which he's OK about as he prefers {{type|Fire}} to {{type|Water}}. Mallow asks how Sophocles is doing but he says not to distract him as he enters the data but Kiawe points out his lure isn't in the water. Pikachu gets a bite on his tail which ends up being a {{p|Magikarp}}. Pikachu flicks Magikarp and it lands in Ash's hand but it splashes and goes back into the water. Lillie gets a bite which turns out to be a {{p|Milotic}} and tries to reel it in. Lana and Ash rush to help Lillie with Ash leaping across the water only to be hit as Milotic jumps out of the water sending him into the water as the line snaps as Professor Kukui decides the time has come to take a break.

They take their break on a small island where a {{p|Pelipper}} flies overhead as a Corsola and {{p|Poliwag}} walk across the beach. Lillie takes her helmet off as Professor Kukui gives them 15 minutes to relax. As Popplio, Pikachu and {{TP|Mallow|Bounsweet}} play, Team Rocket swoop down in their balloon and capture the Ride Pokémon along with Rowlet, Alomomola and several Finneon. As Team Rocket goes to leave, Ash and the others chase after them as Jessie notices the extra Pokémon and Meowth calls them puny which annoys Lana. Ash tells Pikachu to attack but Team Rocket stop him by pointing out it will hurt the Pokémon. Ash comes up with another plan and has Rotom stay where it is and has Pikachu jump on it to gain some moment to fly towards the balloon and use {{m|Iron Tail}} which breaks through the net but there are rocks where they are falling. Lana sends Popplio out to make a large water balloon which the Pokémon bounce off and land safely in the water. Lana is pleased that Popplio finally did it. Team Rocket isn't happy with this turn of events as Lana becomes angry as Jessie sends out {{TP|Jessie|Mimikyu}} to attack Pikachu with {{m|Shadow Ball}} which is deflected back at the balloon by Popplio's balloon as Ash has Rowlet use {{m|Leafage}} which pops the balloon and sends Team Rocket falling towards the ocean only for {{an|Bewear}} to run across the water and catch them much to the surprise of Rotom. After Lana checks on the Pokémon, Ash compliments Popplio's work. Popplio creates a big balloon at Ash's request which floats him and Pikachu into the air only for it to pop sending them falling down.
