Pokemon vs Pokémon in Japan: new section
::::Doubled vowels (aa, ee, ii, uu, oo) = Macron vowels (ā, ē, ī, ō, ū) I think that's right. --Abcboy (talk) 00:59, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
:::::It is Pocket Monsters. The title screens on the Japanese versions of Red/Green, Blue, Yellow, Gold/Silver and Crystal clearly translate it as Pocket Monsters, so I don't understand why are you changing it all of a sudden. == Pokemon vs Pokémon in Japan ==
I've noticed from let's plays that in Japanese versions of Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, when the abbreviated word ポケモン is written out in English (specifically in the battle screen with Fight, Pokémon, Bag, Run),
it's written as "Pokemon", and not "Pokémon". Is this notable, or is Japan inconsistent with the accent?
