I haven't beaten the game yet, but from what I've seen/heard/remembered, the beast that devours the sun is the only one mentioned in Sun while the... whatever is used to describe Lunala is the only one mentioned in Moon. The only connecting factor (I'm aware of) is them being evolved from Cosmog. :::::::As near as I can tell, within the games, Xerneas and Yveltal are talked about together maybe as much as Solgaleo and Lunala are, if not less. The [[Legendary duo]] page says that duos either represent teamwork or opposition. Solgaleo and Lunala are a great example of thematic opposites, a plain-as-can-be duality.
