It may also be a reference to the mesoamerican city of {{wp|Teotihuacan}} which was the 6th largest city in the world (600 A.D.) but collapsed circa 6th century. Recent studies into the pattern of burning on the stones that make up the structures of the ancient city suggest its collapse may have been due to civil unrest. Up to this time it was thought the city collapsed due to external invaders. This relatively recent revelation may be the reason for the Japanese motto for the city, "Quiet stones speak volumes". Further evidence to support this theory is the fact that both {{p|Sigilyph}} (possibly based on {{wp|Quetzalcoatl}}) and {{p|Hawlucha}} (possibly based on the {{wp|Resplendent quetzal}} bird) are both found just south of this town.
