:Thing is Pokémon don't say their names in the games. Granted there are examples, at least in the English versions, where Pokémon say something similar to what you would expect from the anime, like a Shroomish in Verdanturf saying "Shroom" iirc. Anyways, what I was thinking when making that edit was that the way the article is written seems, to me, to emphasize how Whismur's cry is very different from "mama", but somewhat similar to "mum". While imo it's not that similar to either. If the cry is to be compared to "mama" and "mum" I would actually say that it sounds closer to "mama". I'm not going to keep editing the article because it's such a minor detail, but I feel like removing the emphasis on the Japanese version's "mama" is better then leaving it as it is.
