Hello. I was wondering how to utilize additional colors (such as for regions and for specific games) for Template:youtubevid. I think I managed to do it on the pages for Pokémon Origins and Nintendo Direct once before.. However, on the page for M18, I cannot properly integrate the "OmegaRuby" and "AlphaSapphire" colors or the "Hoenn" colors to make the "youtubevid" template visually match with the rest of the page. I thought that the list of game colors was here and that the list of region colors was here, although I am having difficulties in using them. Thanks in advance for the help! Fenyx4 (talk) 20:51, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

:I've fixed the uses of the template on M18, and you can see the changes I made there. That should help you to better understand how the template works. - <span class="sc" style="color:#DA70D6;">Kogoro</span> - <span class="sc" style="color:#FFB6C1;">Talk to me</span> - 05:11, 24 January 2016 (UTC)

::Thank you very much for the response!  I examined your edit, and I think that I have a better handle on how the template works now. Apparently, I thought that the "channel/?????" (alternatively, "user/?????") portion was optional and thought that the "by ?????" portion essentially served the same function, leading me to just omit the "channel/?????" portion...  However, from what I can see now, it looks like there is a small difference - one is for display purposes and the other is for URL-linking of specific YouTube users/user-channels. I will keep the distinction in mind for future edits with the hopes of improving other articles with integrated video links; thanks again for the clarity! Example: In the entry for Destiny Knot, the section has the small words "Red Thread", which in turn has a link to a Wikipedia page about the "Red String of Fate". If "Destiny Knot" had its own Bulbapedia article, would there be a way to make the big bold-faced words "Destiny Knot" point to such an article? It appears that I am having link/template difficulties.. Thanks in advance for the help. Fenyx4 (talk) 21:07, 21 January 2016 (UTC)

:It is not possible to make the name "Destiny Knot" in the template link to another article. The way to link to a main item article can be found at the Master Ball section of the Poké Ball article (You will need to expand the template to see it in action). Please keep in mind, however, Staff are considering options regarding giving items their own unique articles. Thus, such articles should not be created until we have a distinct format finalized for such articles. ::Thank you very much for the reply! It is unfortunate that such linking cannot be properly performed.. In any case, I viewed the example that you provided for the Master Ball; it currently seems like a usable workaround (although admittedly, I initially missed seeing that text since I tend to focus more on the left-side text than the right-side text, probably because Item names are boldfaced on the left side.. XD). I am glad to hear that additional options (in terms of "Item" articles) are undergoing staff consideration/deliberation.
::The main reason I was inquiring was because of the current existence of articles for several Generation 3 event key items, such as the Eon Ticket and the Old Sea Map. I will wait for further deliberation regarding standard Items, then. However, in regards to the Key Items that already have their own articles (mostly visible here), is it permissible to link to the already-existing articles while refraining from creating articles on standard Items (like the Destiny Knot, etc.)? Or should I refrain from linking to the already-existing "Key Item" articles as well until further deliberation has occurred? Thanks for your help.
