An unknown amount of time ago, Palermo used to be a judge at [[Pokémon Showcase]]s. Due to unknown circumstances she quit being a judge, although it is implied she quit because of a lack of talented contestants. It is also implied Palermo had some involvement in {{an|Aria}}'s rise to stardom, as she was shown telling herself "there wouldn't be another {{DL|Pokémon Performer|Kalos Queen}} like Aria". Palermo returned to the world of Pokémon Showcases at the [[Coumarine City]] Pokémon Showcase, although she was hesitant to go. As the Free Performance round is now judged by the audience, she didn't return to judge, but instead just came to see if there were any talented {{pkmn|Performer}}s around.
