Fan speculation has compared him to the Tenth Doctor from Doctor Who, due to similar trenchcoat and hair, and the fact no-one knows his real name. Going even further, Looker gives you the Audinite in post-Alpha Ruby/Omega Sapphire. Audino's two abilites are "Healer" and "Regenerate" both words are heavily connected to The Doctor character.
