It's definitely warranted speculation. Max only does it one time before Misty's appearance. And after that, he does it the same way every single episode. I really think the episode was moved up from where it would have originally appeared. I can't place exactly when the episode would have occurred, but it clearly could not happen before Thatcher's return in [[AG052]].
