:This was already discussed a couple paragraphs ago. The player can name him anything he wants. We go by the NPC name. And since the game was released, people have named him things other than Xavier. The anime had even named his female counterpart [[Serena (anime)|Serena]], not Yvonne. I know the anime is a different canon to the games, but it is the most popular besides the games.
