It seems there's some conflicting information concerning STAB in each Generation. The Gen IV passage states "Beat Up skips the randomization factor, but does apply same-type attack bonus for Dark-type Pokémon.", while the learn by level up list says "No STAB prior to Gen V". Furthermore, the Gen V passage says "Beat Up now receives STAB from Dark-type users and no longer deals typeless damage." There really seems to be a mix up somewhere in here, and may need some fixing.
