If you just hold B while standing still there will still be a speed increase. And this behavior only happens with certain NPC types rather than all of them. This doesn't seem like consistent behavior to me and it reminds me a lot of a similar run-button bug in the Earthbound Zero US prototype/Mother 1+2 compilation. Not having encounters while N is with is likely because N has no backsprite and entering a battle with him following you can potentially mess up the game or cause strange behavior; this makes it more of a failsafe rather than a glitch.[[User:Chicobo329|Chicobo329]] ([[User talk:Chicobo329|talk]]) 06:59, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
