Rage glitch: Difference between revisions

The term '''Rage glitch''' refers to a glitch in {{5v2|Diamond|Pearl|Platinum|HeartGold|SoulSilver}}. It occurs after a {{m|transform}}ed Pokémon uses the move {{m|Rage}} until the "Rage is building" message is shown followed by either capturing or defeating the enemy Pokémon.

At the end of the battle the user's Pokémon will have the same moveset as the Pokémon who knew Rage. Exploiting this glitch allows for {{p|Ditto}} to learn moves other than {{m|Transform}} and to subsequently pass down any [[Egg move]]. If a {{p|Ditto}} manages to learn an Egg move through this glitch the player may be able to pass it down in the daycare if the paired Pokémon is female.  

The glitch allows any Pokémon capable of learning {{m|Transform}}, {{m|Mimic}}, {{m|Copycat}}, {{m|Assist}} or {{m|Metronome}} to learn any move (other than {{m|Chatter}} or {{m|Struggle}}) due to the possible incorporation of {{p|Smeargle}}. Performing this glitch is the only means of having a Ditto with {{pkmn|Super Contest}} [[ribbon]]s without using an external device.
