:::::The Red Gyarados broadcast means that Lucas/Dawn start their journey right around the time Lyra/Ethan are battling Pryce. Presumably, in the time it takes for the DPPt protagonist to go through everything up to Sunnyshore Gym, Lyra/Ethan are running around Kanto battling the Gyms. Jasmine and Erika have their conversation and Jasmine has been convinced to go to Sinnoh. She uses Rusty in Super Contests and eventually goes home. At this point Lyra/Ethan has probably beaten Red and pays Olivine Gym a visit and Jasmine offers to trade Rusty.
