Gold Digger (TCG)

Gold Digger is a predominantly and deck found in the Gym Challenge Strategy Guide. The deck is classified as one of the "hard-core" decks in the book, containing more rare cards than the easy-to-build decks.

Description

The "Gold Digger" deck teams Sabrina with Brock to make a really sneaky attack deck. At first glance, Brock's Diglett's Tremor attack doesn't look too good. After all, doing 10 damage to all of your Benched Pokémon isn't great even when Tremor does 40 damage to the Defending Pokémon. However, Sabrina's Golduck's amazing Damage Shift attack gets rid of that damage and can do up to 60 damage to the Defending Pokémon!

Use Switch to shift Brock's Diglett and Sabrina's Golduck back and forth without discarding Energy. Energy Search is a good addition to any deck that uses two Energy types because you can use it to find either kind of Energy. It's like adding four more Energy cards to the deck. Use Master Ball, Brock's Training Method, and Pokémon Trader to get whatever Pokémon you're missing (usually Brock's Diglett, Sabrina's Psyduck, or Sabrina's Golduck). Once you've gotten your Brock's Diglett-Sabrina's Golduck trick working, you can use Sabrina's Mr. Mime's Magic Darts attack to finish off any damaged Pokémon that make it back to your opponent's Bench.
