→Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver: It's not simply on-off, and it's not guaranteed at max friendship for the Old Rod, due the max boost being 50% and the Old Rod having base 25% bite rate. (Will add details to the fishing page later, although maybe some belong here too.)
