As far as I know, <code><nowiki>{{DISPLAYTITLE}}</nowiki></code> can only change the page title to something that normalizes to the real page title; e.g., to make the first letter appear lowercase. There's a configuration option that allows it to be used to change a page's title to anything, but it's turned off by default, since it can be misused.
