I don't see the point of this template. You can easily achieve the same effect by typing [[wp:Link|]] (take note of the trailing bar), which is automatically transformed into [[wp:Link|Link]] by the software. Same goes for any and all other interwiki prefixes and namespaces. - 振霖T 01:21, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

You would, before, have to type in, where pagename is the name of the page you are linking to, [[wp:pagename|pagename]], which could get tedious with long article names, but now, you only have to type {{wp:pagename}}, which is much shorter.
