You can catch Lickitung and Farfetch'd in this game, but you can't catch them in Red and Blue you have to get them through in-game trade. So why the heck can't we list that difference --AKR619 06:32, 15 April 2010 (UTC)

What's the difference between V1.0, V1.1 and V1.2 of the Japanese version, other than bug fixes? <b><span style="color:green">ポケモン</span></b><b><span style="color:blue">あいこうか</span></b> 16:15, 23 August 2010 (UTC)

"Some Trainer sprites were also redone. Red was redesigned to closely resemble his counterpart Ash Ketchum from the anime whereas Blue closely resembles Gary Oak. Brock and Misty resemble their anime counterparts as well."
Does no one else have a problem with this? Red and Blue had their sprites redone, yes, but they match their official art from Gen 1. Much like all the Pokémon. You wouldn't say every Pokémon's sprite was redrawn to match the anime so much as to be more accurate to the official ideas. Also, Misty's sprite doesn't look particularly like it includes suspenders to me, just a tank top and some sporty shorts... BP 19:25, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
No one seems to be bothered so I'll just edit it to maximum accuracy, hiyah wah look at me go BP 07:17, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Trivia
I fixed part of the Trivia section, and for some reason it won't let me put in links, I'm guessing it has something to do with me being a relatively new user, anyways if someone could or wants to add the links for the "Pokemon Diamond/Pearl and Platinum" part of it, it would be much appreciated.  By the way the part I fixed was the line that said, "Pokemon Yellow is the only game to allow the player to walk into the grass without any Pokemon...", but you (the player) also walk into the grass without any Pokemon in the beginning of Pokemon D/P/Pt with Wally, then you get your starter, etc.  So anyways thanks in advance. - Ash1Ketchum4 23:13, 1 March 2011 (UTC)
:If you can edit a page then you can put in links. There's no limitations on linking. Make sure you're using the Wikicode for links (Or the relevant List of link templates). html code for links won't work. <span class="sc"><span style="color:#2D4B98;">Werdnae</span></span> <small><span style="color:#009000;">(talk)</span></small> 01:51, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
I just copied a link (from the edit section of the Generation IV page) for Pokemon D/P/Pt and then tried to show preview/save changes and it wouldn't let me, but it would let me edit it without the link thing.  Is it that you can't copy other links or did it do something wrong?  Also the site kept signing me out a couple times for no reason, only when I was trying to edit. - Ash1Ketchum4 23:32, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
:What exactly do you mean by "It wouldn't let me"? Was it saying that there was a loss of session data? If so then just try save it again - it's a glitch that the tech people are looking into. If it was saying that there was a permission error it had probably looged you out for some reason. Again, it's likely a glitch (Check your cookie settings if you want to make sure) and going back and trying it again should work. <span class="sc"><span style="color:#2D4B98;">Werdnae</span></span> <small><span style="color:#009000;">(talk)</span></small> 07:10, 3 March 2011 (UTC)
You said in the trivia that the second game your allowed to run in the grass without a Pokemon is Pokemon Diamond Pearl and Platinum, but in Platinum, Rowan stops you from going in the grass without Pokemon. MrGameAndWatch

Pokemon R/B and Pokemon Yellow cartridge differences
Not really that important, but the logo on the Pokemon Yellow cartridge is slightly smaller by .5 millimeters

Pokemon Yellow Cartridge
Hey all, I was looking at the image of the cartridge on this page. My cartridge looks different - It has a different background, lacks the E for Everyone notice, the 'Special Pikachu Edition' text and other things. I live in the UK, and as far as I know this is an original, totally legit PAL Yellow cartridge (I have absolutely no doubt in my mind it is a legit real cart - It was originally my brother's from when it was first released and has never had any oddities in the translation and plays perfectly). I've included a link to the image of my cart. If there is a difference in the cart between regions, perhaps this could be added and/or go some way towards clarifying an English title? I've also noticed differences in all my GBC Pokemon carts to the images on the Archives but these are small things such as the ESRB and the version title fonts on Gold/Crystal, however I think this cart has the biggest difference and the image is used on the page. If anyone would like images of my other carts I can provide Red, Blue, Gold and Crystal (all legit PAL carts) If this difference has already been noted, I apologize. == Composer for extra music tracks? ==
According to the article, the thee additional music tracks that are in Pokémon Yellow were written by Gõ Ichinose. (the beginning intro music, Jake and Jessie's Theme, and the Pikachu Surf mini-game music) Can anyone confirm this?  The in-game credits doesn't list him. it only credits Junichi Masuda.
If this is true, would this make him a likely composer for the Leftover Music Theme in the game files? Pokémusicer
The title of the page should stay the same.
It has been suggested that the title of this article be renamed "Pokémon Yellow." I'm okay with the suggestion, but even though other territories don't use the word "version," North America does, so we should refer to it by its full North American name. Thank you. == Colosseum 2 ==
According to the Virtual Console manual, in Colosseum 2, Mew cannot participate in any of the cups, and sleep only lasts 1-3 turns. Is this the case on Game Boy too? --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 06:40, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
:It also mentions that in Colosseum 2, unlike Colosseum, each team is restricted to 3 Pokémon and each species can only be used once per team. --<span style="color:#A70000">Snorlax</span><span style="color:#0000A7">Monster</span> 06:46, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
Incorrect Information
In Story Changes it states "The old man in Viridian City now must be spoken to before going to Viridian Forest. He attempts to demonstrate how to catch a Pokémon, fails and leaves to get more Poké Balls. After this cutscene, he permanently vanishes from the game. This may have been meant as a way to neutralize the Old man glitch." However, the old man actually comes back after the player visits the Viridian Pokemart. --Bulbafreak9000 (talk) 11:09, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
