I don't know if this is being discussed elseware, but I've noticed that in the trivia sections of certain Generation II Pokémon that received updated colours in their Platinum sprites it's not being mentioned that this happened to alot of other Pokémon.
Their colours are changed so that they match their original colours from Gold and Silver as a hint to the fact that the Gold and Silver remakes were going to be released in a few months time.
For example, in Porygon2's trivia section it mentions that Porygon's sprite colours didn't change in Platinum as if no connection had been made to the G/S remakes.

(Google obviously screwed up when making its translator and it somehow botches the translation of "fall 2009" and spits out "September 2009" instead for some bizarre reason.) Nor is the word for October, which is the same as September but with 10 instead of 9 (i.e. 10月).
