Isn't it true that if you deposit Mew in a box in either of the Stadium games, it causes some saved data to glitch? I've heard of this happening to other people, and it's even happened to me: When I stuck Mew in an N64 box in Stadium 2, I had to re-do all the cups (but box data was strangely intact). This has nothing to do with Mew, I have encountered the same glitch in the original pokemon stadium as well as pokemon stadium 2. Curious, I did a lot of testing on the subject. Depositing a mew in either stadium 1 or stadium 2 does not cause a crash; Missingno also causes no problems except in stadium 1 when used in battle. In stadium 1, his sprite is that of the substitute doll and will crash (but not erase) the game if used in battle. If the missingno is deposited into stadium 2 it will permanently become a ditto. Good way to remove it from your cart if you're worried about it causing issues since it is hard to delete once boxed. Here is what DID trigger it: Resetting the N64 over and over. N64 carts are programmed to erase all data if they are reset over and over at high frequency, especially games like these that have no "erase all data" button; the pokemon are exempt from this as their data is kept in a different location, but in stadium 2 one will notice all items stored are also lost. Trouble is, as the systems age they often fail to connect with games the first time they are inserted, so many of us will find us rebooting over and over trying to get the cart to work. The solution is this: Whenever resetting the N64 to get the cart to work, count to 30 seconds between resets. I have found this prevents the loss of data when fighting with a N64 cart.
