:It looks that, in the past, we used to keep Japanese Pokédex entries when new games had been released just in Japanese, not in English yet. For instance, please see [https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/w/index.php?title=Pikachu_(Pok%C3%A9mon)&oldid=1337701#Pok.C3.A9dex_entries_4 this old 2011 revision of the Pokédex section] from the Pikachu article. It contains this Pokédex text from Pokémon Black and White: "{{tt|よわった なかまの ピカチュウに でんきをながし ショックをあたえて げんきを わけることも ある。|It occasionally uses an electric shock to recharge a fellow Pikachu that is in a weakened state.}}". | |||
